It's monday morning, the first day of classes for many students here in the state of Michigan. I'll be preaching 3 campuses this week that are near and dear to my heart. Today, the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, my alma mater where God began to draw me to himself. Hopefully God will draw many students to himself as the Word of God is preached today. I'll keep you posted...
Even back then, there was a lot of fake news reporting on our preaching and what we said on campuses. The students sometimes lie about us.
"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes." Ephesians 4:11
A highlight from preaching the many gay pride events here in Michigan was the encouragement I received from a police officer. After finishing up for the day, the officer flagged me down and thanked me for preaching. He said he was a christian and appreciated what I was doing. It was such a blessing because earlier in the month, we were getting harrassed by the Detroit PD, threatened with arrest, etc. God always shows his faithfulness...
